Scope of Application
The CloudEngine S5736-S series switches are purely optical standard GE switches of the next generation with 48 optical downlink ports and four 10 GE uplink ports.
Based on Huawei’s Versatile Routing Platform (VRP), the CloudEngine S5736-S supports Layer 3 functions, simplified operational and maintenance processes, flexible Ethernet networking, and advanced IPv6 features. The series switches can be used as access or aggregation switches in campus networks or as access switches in MANs (Metropolitan Area Networks) or data center networks.
